Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: A complete refund, less service fees

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: €50 for transactions via credit card

Conditions: Must be officially requested through email or telephone

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half the total charter expense

Processing Time: 7-10 working days

Processing Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund amount

Conditions: A genuine reason is needed; administrative costs will be applied

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: Refunds are not provided in this window

Exception: Emergency situations might warrant special consideration

Alternative: Instead of a refund, a credit towards charters could be available at discretion of the management

Conditions: Proofs required for emergency circumstances

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

At the forefront of our operation is safety. Should the conditions be assessed as unsafe by our certified captain for charter activities, we can offer a range of flexible alternatives:

  • Full Refund: If rescheduling isn’t an option, a full refund will be offered
  • Reschedule: We can rearrange your charter for the next available slot, at no additional charge
  • Charter Credit: A voucher valid for one year from the original charter date will be issued

Weather Assessment Process

Our methodology for weather evaluation encompasses:

  • Analysis of wind speeds and directions
  • Assessment of sea conditions and wave height
  • Forecasts for visibility and precipitation
  • Advisories and warnings issued by the Coast Guard
  • Safety appraisal conducted by a professional captain

Decision Timeline: Judgements on weather cancellations are concluded at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Emergency Circumstances

Medical emergencies are unpredictable, and for certain circumstances, special considerations may apply:

  • Acute sickness or injury that necessitates hospital care
  • Death within the immediate family
  • Unexpected military deployment or recall
  • Jury duty or subpoena for court
  • Natural catastrophes interfering with travel

Documentation Requirements

For processing emergency refund requests, the following proofs are required:

  • Hospital records or medical certificates
  • Death certificates, if it concerns a fatality
  • Notification of military orders
  • Court summonses or notices for jury duty
  • Emergency declarations or travel advisories

Processing: Following receipt of the appropriate documents, emergency refund claims will be completed within 3-5 working days.

Operational Cancellations

Mechanical Issues

In the event of intractable mechanical problems with the vessel you've been assigned:

  • Alternative Vessel: We'll attempt to secure a similar substitute
  • Full Refund: If a suitable replacement isn't available, we offer a full refund
  • Partial Refund: Adjusted refund if the substitute boat is differently priced
  • Compensation: We may extend additional recompense due to inconvenience

Crew Unavailability

Although infrequent, if qualified crew is not available:

  • Finding a substitute crew is our priority
  • A full refund if the charter is unable to proceed
  • We offer rescheduling at no extra cost

Refund Processing

Payment Method

All refunds will be applied back to the original payment method used:

  • Credit Cards: Completion takes 5-7 working days
  • Bank Transfers: Refund completion may take 7-10 working days
  • Cash/Cheque: These refunds are processed in 3-5 working days

Processing Fees

Credit Card Processing

A fee of €50 for cancellations with a notice period exceeding 72 hours

Bank Transfer Processing

A €25 charge is applied to all refunds transacted through an electronic bank transfer

International Processing

International transactions might entail additional charges

Charter Credits

When Credits Are Offered

In certain situations, as an alternative to a traditional refund, we may extend credits for charters:

  • For cancellations made with less than a day’s notice
  • For weather-compelled cancellations
  • When customers opt to reschedule voluntarily
  • Due to disruptions in operations

Credit Terms

  • Validity: You can use these credits for up to a year after they're issued
  • Transferability: These credits are not transferrable to third parties
  • Value: They are equal to the complete charter cost, excluding any service charges
  • Usage: They can be put towards any available charter schedule
  • Expiration: Extensions past the 12-month mark are not possible

Partial Service Refunds

Service Interruptions

If your charter gets interrupted or needs to be curtailed due to factors we're responsible for:

  • A proportional refund relative to the unutilized duration
  • A credit equivalent for future charters
  • Complimentary services or enhanced offerings

Guest-Related Interruptions

In cases where a charter concludes before time due to guest misbehavior or breaches of safety:

  • A refund for unused time is not possible
  • The full charter fee is still owed
  • There might be additional charges

Dispute Resolution

For refund-related disagreements, you may :

  • Ask for a reconsideration by our management
  • Submit further proof or clarification
  • Search for a resolution through consumer advocacy bodies
  • Explore legal options in line with existing laws

  • Cancellation reasoning

Step 3: Review and Processing

Our team will acknowledge your request within a day, review compatibility with the policy, decide within 48 hours, and if approved, process the refund within the times stated above.

Important Notes

  • All requests for refunds should be documented in writing
  • Refunds are issued in € irrespective of the currency used for payment
  • We highly advise acquiring travel insurance
  • This policy is subject to modifications, with a notice period of 30 days
  • Refunds are aligned with applicable taxes and regulations
